Medify Air
One of our newest pieces of dental technology includes Medify Air. Medify Air is one of the best air purifiers on the market. Air purifiers help remove contaminants from the air inside to improve the overall air quality. They’re incredibly beneficial to those who suffer from allergies or asthma.
According to the EPA, the air inside an office can be two to five times worse than the air outside. This is especially true for dental offices where dental instruments regularly produce dental aerosols into the air that contain viruses and bacteria.
By using Medify Air at our dental office, we’re able to capture 99.97% of airborne particles as small as 0.1 microns. Medify Air is a medical-grade filtration system that removes pollen, dust, molder, bacteria, viruses, dust mites, pet dander, paint pigment, lead dust, common smoke, asbestos, carbon dust, pesticide, and anthrax from the air. When our patients visit our dental office, they can trust Medify Air to provide them with healthy air to breathe.
MAXAIR®
We’ve also recently invested in Max Air, an air-purifying respirator that provides ultimate protection against airborne (droplets and aerosol) partials. MAXAIR is an alternative to N95 and PAPR masks that delivers the best protection possible for our staff. MAXAIR meets all loose-fitting PAPR requirements by OSHA and provides our staff with comfort and convenience that other masks don’t offer. MAXAIR helmets are incredibly lightweight and deliver a positive pressure airflow with unique safety features that don’t compare to other methods of personal respiratory protection.
ISOLITE
Over a decade ago, Divine Smiles invested in ISOLITE, a piece of dental technology that combines suction, light, and retraction into one powerful tool. This unique tool reduces airborne particles by providing continuous suction during procedures.
ISOLITE helps our patients and staff stay safe with the following features:
- Single-use mouthpieces for no cross-contamination
- LED illumination for ultimate visibility
- Intra-oral continuous suction to reduce aerosols
- Airway protection to eliminate ingestion and aspiration
- Secure retraction to prevent soft tissue injury
- Staff can work independently with this hands-free, three-in-one tool to reduce exposure to other staff members
