Replace Your Missing Teeth With Dental Implants

If you’ve lost your natural teeth, you’re likely searching for all the different tooth replacement options available. When it comes down to it, dental implants are the top choice. They’re the only choice that replaces the most crucial element of a tooth—the root. Dental implants hold your replacement teeth in place from the jaw to offer the most stability and natural-feeling replacement solution possible. Discover why dental implants are the right choice for you.

“I definitely had a lot of sensitivity. My gums were starting to recede a little bit. I was grinding my teeth a lot. And I think that’s really what Dr. Clancy kinda brought to light for me and he was able to diagnose things that I would of not even thought were issues. I mean I’m sleeping better. I stopped grinding my teeth. I don’t have, you know, the receding gums anymore. All of that has gone away. I feel so much better. I can eat what I want… I don’t have to worry about sensitivity. If I had known I definitely would have made the decision sooner.” – Anisa

Dental Implants Procedure

At Divine Smiles, we complete dental implant procedures in a multi-step process that takes place under one roof—our office. The entire procedure process takes place over several months.

During your first appointment, Dr. Clancy will examine your mouth and take x-rays to determine whether dental implants are right for you. In most cases, patients are a good candidate if they:

  • Have healthy gums
  • Have sufficient bone to anchor the implant
  • Are not a heavy smoker
  • Don’t have any immune deficiencies or connective tissue disorders

In the event that you don’t have sufficient bone, we can provide a bone graft. Dr. Clancy will also determine how many implants you need to achieve your goals.

The next step in the implant process is the implant placing procedure itself. We use the Straumann® Dental Implant System which allows us freedom of choice for different materials to meet your needs. To help you achieve a smile that looks and functions optimally, we use the highest grade available.

In a three-part process, Dr. Clancy will place the following.

  1. Fixture – The fixture is surgically placed in the jaw and serves as the anchor system for the implant. After placing the fixture, it will take several months for it to fuse to the jaw. We won’t proceed to the next step until this happens.
  2. Abutment – The abutment connects the titanium fixture to the crown, bridge, or implant-supported dentures.
  3. Restoration – The replacement teeth that connect to the abutment.

Every patient receives a custom-designed restoration that looks as natural as possible. We shape and color the restoration to ensure it blends seamlessly with any existing teeth and complements your overall appearance. By using Straumann Dental Implants exclusively, we can ensure your implants offer the best results possible.

When you visit Divine Smiles in Woburn, Winchester, and the greater Boston area, feel secure knowing your results are in Dr. Clancy’s hands.
